To New Extremes With The Ultra Miniskirt, Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber just unveiled a new haircut, displaying it with an Instagram photo and the concise phrase, “Oops.” And it’s not only her hair that’s gone shorter: Hailey has spent most of 2023 in the highest of hemlines, having begun the year in a cut-out Mugler minidress.

In the days that followed, the supermodel and beauty mogul donned a patterned vintage Versace style and a nude mini from Fanc Club. Then there was Miaou’s raw-edged denim skirt, which was as thigh-grazing as Miu Miu’s viral micro skirt from the spring/summer 2022 collection.

Hailey has worn tights with her ultra-high hemlines on occasion, such as when she added stockings to a ruffled Alexandre Vauthier couture outfit at a party a week ago, and when she wore Calzedonia tights with an ultra-short Misbhv pleated mini and a Bottega Veneta Cassette bag earlier this week.

She will, however, go bare-legged, as seen by her most recent excursion with her husband Justin. Hailey wore look 17 from Raf Simons’ spring/summer 2023 show-cum-rave, which included a grey sweater dress that was so short that it was barely visible, worn over a pristine shirt, a boxy leather jacket, and sculptural stilettos.

The style reminded us of Kendall Jenner’s daring NYE look: the model wore an MM6 Maison Margiela long-sleeved bodysuit and 20-denier Calzedonia tights with Saint Laurent slingbacks and no skirt. Is 2023 the year of the high hemline, or the year of no hemline?
